Lantmännen's harvest forecast 2023: 4.6 million tonnes of grain
This year's Swedish grain harvest is expected to be significantly lower than a normal year. In large parts of the country the lack of rain has had a very negative impact on the harvest. However, the situation is better than the extreme drought year of 2018, thanks to a higher proportion of autumn-sown crops and more favorable temperatures during the early summer.Lantmännen's forecast for this year's Swedish harvest amounts to 4.6 million tonnes of grain. This is significantly lower than both last year's harvest of 5.8 million tonnes, and a normal year* corresponding to 5.6 million tonnes.
