10 July 2015Bibby Distribution has unveiled two new longer semi-trailers (LSTs) that will cut carbon and boost brand awareness for Tayto Group Ltd, the biggest British-owned crisp and snack manufacturer. In a further move to meet the ever-changing needs of its clients, Bibby Distribution has taken delivery of the two new LSTs and liveried them with the Real Crisps and Mr Porky brands. BIBBY DISTRIBUTION SLASHES CARBON FOOTPRINT FOR TAYTO WITH VIRTUAL WAREHOUSE SYSTEM

30 April 2015Snack manufacturer Tayto expects to take up to 250 tonnes of CO2 emissions out of its supply chain by July 2015, thanks to a pioneering ‘virtual warehouse’ system developed jointly by Bibby Distribution and Tayto’s Supply Chain & Commercial Teams. New figures show the system has already saved 160 tonnes of CO2 emissions since the system was implemented in July 2014, with a further 90 tonnes expected to be taken out by the first anniversary of the system’s implementation. 16 December 2014Longer semi-trailers (LSTs) deployed on trial by Bibby Distribution have been instrumental in delivering substantial cost savings for Board24. The 3PL now has five 15.5m LSTs operating from Board24’s Preston depot, which sends out dozens of trailer-loads of cardboard to manufacturers every day. BIBBY DISTRIBUTION TARGETS LONGER SEMI-TRAILER GROWTH

27 June 2013Logistics specialist Bibby Distribution is to utilise its full allocation of 25 longer semi-trailers (LSTs) with the delivery of twelve 15.65m models underway, adding to the 13 identical Don-Bur trailers which joined the fleet in 2012.  Each trailer is 2.05m longer than the current maximum permitted length. Bibby Distribution is now lobbying the Department for Transport (DfT) to extend its current allocation, to permit additional LSTs to join its fleet.
