We really liked the beginning of the book as the author gives the child some of Fluffy's dog breed information and characteristics. The story follows Fluffy as she is so excited with the new fresh snow laying she runs and plays in it until she becomes lost, resulting in her being away from her warm cosy house for four weeks in the freezing cold weather. Scared, hungry and lonely, Fluffy begins to feel the presence of someone protecting her. This was her Angel who helps her in many ways.

We absolutely loved the beautiful pictures in the book with Fluffy and the settings, we spent some time talking about all the different animals we could spot in most of them. A great adventure story to read with your child or even on your own!! Lovely and enjoyable, Fluffy will soon get into your heart.

I recently had the privilege of receiving Fluffy’s Guardian Angel and before I received it, I told my son he was getting a new book in the mail. So everyday he asked “Mommy do I have mail yet?” I loved it, he never gets mail so he was very excited, then the book came and I didn’t even have a chance to look at it before he took it to his room and I didn’t see it for days! I finally got it back and can now write my review of this adorable book!

I loved this story, it is so well written and you can tell that the author Don Bussel has a strong connection and tremendous amounts of love for Fluffy. This is a beautiful take for kids of all ages as my 12-year-old is in love with Fluffy as well.

I have always had a soft spot for animal stories, and so do my children. My oldest son, Mr. J, likes to read this story to his little brother and sister. All of my children enjoyed the artwork too. It was beautiful, and captured the words perfectly. I recommend this story to children of all ages to show that courage can come in different shapes and sizes, and that we must never give-up.

Fluffy also learns some very important lessons along the way. This book will surely bring joy, friendship, and some great lessons to be learned.

I love that this sweet story is inspired by the real-life incident experience of Donald’s four-legged best friend, a keeshond named Fluffy! This children’s book includes a fun-filled tale of Fluffy’s adventure when she became lost, and how her guardian angel helped her survive and return home. Told from Fluffy’s perspective, she is having so much fun playing in the snow with her friends, she doesn’t realize exactly how far from home she has ventured. Life lessons are learned upon her way home!

I loved all the lessons that the book teaches young children, about having faith and listening to that voice in your head about what to do. There are also many other lessons you can take from the book as well. We really enjoyed reading this book for bed time and would love to see what other books that Don puts out.

What a pleasure it is to be a part of your correspondence about my best gal Fluffy! I bet Fluffy and your son Josiah would get along together famously! Fluffy loves being around children - especially six year olds.

One of my favorite comments about Fluffy’s story came from a former students in the form of a note to me after a reading: WHEN IT’S FLUFFYS BIRTHDAY WRITE A LETTER TO HER WITH OUR LOVE AND THEN BURN IT SO THE ASHES WILL GO TO HEAVEN”. I like to think that someday I will join Fluffy there.

I am so pleased to be a part of the Kids Are Grown, Now What Blog. My book, “Fluffy’s Guardian Angel” is about my favorite gal, Fluffy. The book means a lot to me and so I am pleased to share some personal stories about us.

“When I left Arizona on a cross-country trip visiting friends with my dog Fluffy, a Keeshond, I never suspected it would lead to a popular children’s book,” Bussel explains. “While visiting friends in Missouri, Fluffy wandered away and stayed lost for 28 days. Odds were against her ever returning home, but I never gave up.”
Don Bussel
Bussel says the story almost wrote itself after his best friend returned. “When Fluffy returned from her odyssey, I could only say, ‘If she could only talk, what kind of story would she tell?’” says the author. “I attempted to retrace her steps using the known terrain and what she must have gone through.”

As a grandfather to 35 grandchildren, I found this book to be an inspirational story, that excites the imagination of young children. It is fun to read to them and triggers thoughtful discussion. I highly recommend it as a must book, in your library of children's books. The graphic illustrations were very well done, adding another dimension to the reading experience. Love it!
