    ICA opens highly automated e-commerce warehouse in Stockholm

    Starting on 1 December, ICA’s highly automated warehouse in Brunna, outside Stockholm, will be in full operation. ICA is first in Sweden to open a warehouse with a highly automated solution for groceries bought online.E-commerce has grown sharply in recent years – in 2020 alone ICA’s e-commerce share grew 117%. ICA’s ambition is to create an e-commerce operation that can grow with ICA’s needs for many years into the future.     ICA’s e-commerce warehouse in Arendal, outside Gothenburg, is set to open on 21 April.     Norwegian Competition Authority suspends ICA Norway’s co-operation with Norgesgruppen

    Solna 19 april, 2013 At the end of February 2013, the Norwegian Competition Authority announced that it was considering suspending ICA Norway’s co-operation with Norgesgruppen relating to sourcing and logistics. The Authority has today decided to impose a suspension, to apply until 30 September 2013. For ICA Norway, this decision means that the implementation process will be temporarily discontinued.     Solna, 30 November 2012 Today, the Norwegian Competition Authority issued a notification in which it was stated that the Norwegian Competition Authority is considering prohibiting the implementation of the cooperation agreement between ICA and Norgesgruppen.This is just a notification and not a formal decision that right now poses an obstacle to the ongoing implementation.     Administrative Court of Appeal affirms Swedish Tax Agency’s ruling

    ICA has previously released information, including in its interim and annual reports, on a tax dispute concerning interest deductions for the period 2004-2008. The Administrative Court of Appeal has now affirmed the Swedish Tax Agency’s decision to deny ICA interest deductions of some SEK 3.4 billion and in addition imposes a tax surcharge for assessment year 2007. The total tax claim amounts to some SEK 1.3 billion, whereof ICA already paid close to SEK 1.2 billion in January 2011.
