CORRIE STARS SET TO APPEAR AT THE MALL BLACKBURN

Coronation Street favourites Chris Fountain and Katherine Kelly are set to be VIP guests at the official launch of The Mall Blackburn on Saturday 24th September.

The day will be a thrilling celebration of the completion of the stunning £66m development which was finalised after Blackburn Market moved into the lower level of The Mall earlier this year.

From 1pm until 4pm stars of the cobbles Chris and Katherine will co-host three fun packed fashions shows full of glitz, glamour and all the latest clothing and accessories as well as sign autographs and pose for pictures with shoppers.

Chris’s character Tommy Duckworth is currently involved in a love triangle with Tina Mcintyre and dishy Doctor Matt Carter whilst Katherine’s alter ego Becky McDonald is set to face fresh heartbreak with the return of arch rival Tracey Barlow.

Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We are very excited about the official launch of The Mall Blackburn and were delighted when we confirmed that Chris and Katherine would be joining us in our celebrations.

“They are very popular Coronation Street characters and both are very stylish, which makes them perfect candidates for the co-hosting three of the five of the fashion shows we are putting together.

“The event is a ‘must attend’ for all fashionistas and Coronation Street fans and there really will be something for everyone!”
