FUN, FASHION AND FAMOUS FACES TO MARK THE MALL’S LAUNCH
This Saturday (September 24th) will see the much anticipated official launch of The Mall Blackburn!
The day will be a thrilling celebration of the completion of the stunning £66m development which was finalised after the £8m Blackburn Market moved into the lower level of The Mall earlier this year.
Five fun packed fashion shows will feature glitz, glamour and all the latest clothing and accessories and will star Mall Model competition winners Matthew Regan from Preston, Ali Afzal from Blackburn, Jessica and Jenette Ingham from Burnley, Ibrahim Zafar and Margaret Golding from Blackburn and Alan Shelton from Darwen.
In addition Coronation Street favourites Chris Fountain and Katherine Kelly will co-host the final three shows and sign autographs and pose for pictures with shoppers from 1pm until 4pm
Shows will take place at 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm and will showcase the latest designs from stores at The Mall Blackburn. All of the products on the catwalk will be available to buy in The Mall after each show.
There will also be the chance to enter a prize draw to win a £1000 spending spree with Gok Wan and food and drink sampling courtesy of the many quality eating establishments available in The Mall and Blackburn Market.
Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn said: “A lot of work has gone into the planning of the official launch of The Mall Blackburn and there is a real buzz of anticipation in the town.
“Our Mall Model competition was a great success and it is going to be wonderful to see real Lancashire people sporting the latest fashions available here in The Mall.
“The celebrities, who are both embroiled in huge storylines in Coronation Street at the moment, are firm favourites with our shoppers and we were delighted when they confirmed they would be attending.
“There will be something for everyone at The Mall Blackburn this Saturday and it is set to be a day of fun for the whole family – we look forward to seeing everyone there!”
The Mall Blackburn’s first ever TV commercial will air on Granada in the week commencing October 10th and will feature Mall Model winners Matthew Regan from Preston, Ali Afzal from Blackburn, Jessica and Jenette Ingham from Burnley, Margaret Golding from Blackburn and Alan Shelton from Darwen.
