    Maria Branestam new Director of Human Resources in JM

    Maria Branestam has been appointed as the new Director of HR at JM and will be responsible for leading the Group HR organization. Maria will take up the position no later than July 4, 2025, and will be part of JM’s Executive Management.Maria Branestam holds a degree in social work and comes most recently from MAX Burgers AB, where she has been Head of HR Operations since 2021.     JM’s subsidiaries AB Borätt and Seniorgården AB starting production of housing in Stockholm

    Seniorgården AB and AB Borätt have started the production of a total of 87 Swan Ecolabel residential units in the final phase of the Persikan district on Södermalm in central Stockholm.The detailed plan allows for the development of 87 tenant-owned residential units, divided into 44 units for Seniorgården AB and 43 units for AB Borätt. The production of the two apartment buildings, each with 7-10 floors, started in the fourth quarter of 2024 and sales of the units are ongoing.     JM acquiring building rights for residential development in Vaxholm

    JM has signed an agreement with Brabo Stockholm AB for the acquisition of building rights for the development of approximately 60 residential units in Rindö Hamn, Vaxholm municipality. The transaction amounts to SEK 40m.The property being acquired is Rindö 3:395, with a detailed plan which has gained force and allows for just over 60 residential units in apartment buildings. The planning work begins immediately, and occupancy is expected to take place in 2027.   The acquisition will be reported within the business segment JM Residential Stockholm in Q4, 2024.     JM selling residential property in Helsinki

    JM has signed an agreement with ICECAPITAL for the sale of a property in Helsinki.The transaction amounts to approximately SEK 92 million.The property being sold is the project Puronsolina, which consists of 37 residential units located in Konala area in Helsinki. Production will start in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2026.   The transaction will take the form of a corporate sale.     JM has signed an agreement with Urbanea for the sale of properties in Bolinder Strand, Järfälla. The transaction amounts to SEK 117m.The properties being sold are Kallhäll 1:22 and Kallhäll 1:170 consisting of 12,434 square meters of premises.     JM has signed an agreement with Telge Bostäder AB for the sale of a rental property located in Igelsta, Södertälje. The transaction amounts to SEK 209m.The property being sold is the project Igelsta Trädkrona (Sågverket 12), which consists of 96 residential units with a total gross area of 6,706 sqm, of which 4,373 sqm is residential area, and includes 45 parking spaces. Construction is completed, and the total rental value is approximately SEK 14m, with rental income amounting to approximately SEK 13m.     JM signs agreement on acquisition of building rights for residential development in Høn-Landås, Asker

    JM has signed an agreement for the acquisition of building rights for the development of approximately 350 residential units in Høn in Asker, just outside Oslo. The agreement is conditional on a legally binding detailed plan and amounts to approximately SEK 460m.Payment of approximately SEK 20m is paid in connection with the conclusion of the agreement. Thereafter, 50 percent of the purchase price is paid at the time of the decided detailed plan and the remaining 50 percent no later than 36 months after the detailed plan has gained legal force.     JM has signed an agreement for the sale of a property located in Tønsberg, in Vestfold county.     JM announces potential lay-offs

    In order to adapt the operations to lower production volumes, JM is announcing 145 potential lay-offs within the production organization in Sweden due to redundancy.Despite signs of an improved housing market, it remains cautious. The market situation has led to new housing projects not being able to start at the same pace and with the corresponding number of residential units as in the projects that have been completed.     Change in JM’s Executive Management

    Malin Lundgren, Director of Human Resources, has chosen to leave JM.Malin will leave her position on July 5, 2024, after nearly four years with the company.     JM has signed an agreement with Bonnier Fastigheter AB for the sale of a rental property in Rissne, Sundbyberg.     Annual General Meeting of JM AB

    The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders of JM AB met on April 18, 2024, and adopted all of the proposals of the Board of Directors and the Nomination Committee.The AGM approved the Income Statement, the Balance Sheet, the Consolidated Income Statement and the Consolidated Balance Sheet. The AGM resolved to pay a dividend of SEK 3 per share. The record date for payment has been set on Monday, April 22, 2024.     Mikael Åslund new President and CEO of JM

    JM’s board has appointed Mikael Åslund as the new President and CEO from June 1, 2024. He will succeed Johan Skoglund, who will retire at the same time.Mikael Åslund comes most recently from the role of Business Unit Manager JM Property Development and has been employed at JM since 2000. He has a Master of Science degree from Luleå University of Technology and has completed the Master of Science program at the Stockholm School of Business.
