Scandic Hotels has announced today that Thomas Engelhart, Chief Commercial Officer and member of Scandic’s Executive Committee, will leave the company. From today, Scandic’s President & CEO, Even Frydenberg, will temporarily assume responsibility for the company’s commercial operations.

Thomas Engelhart has successfully driven and strengthened our commercial operations with positive results for the company. We are very grateful for his work and high level of dedication. In our discussions over the past few months it has become clear that Thomas and I have different views on how to work together to achieve our strategic goals. For this reason, we have agreed that Thomas will leave Scandic. We will now initiate a review of how we can best structure the management of Scandic’s commercial operations, says Even Frydenberg, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group.
