Smartports takes next step in France

The Swedish energy technology company Smartports is taking a significant step in France with the deployment of a pilot installation at the parking facility of Marolles-en-Hurepoix station, in collaboration with SNCF Gares & Connexions, a subsidiary of the national rail operator. Smartports has signed an agreement with the real estate company Trumbäcken to develop a large energy installation for parking areas in Borlänge, Sweden. The project includes 288 solar-equipped Smartports with integrated EV charging and a battery storage system of nearly 10 MW. The project is planned for the property Palsternackan 2 in Borlänge and covers four separate parking areas.
