    Upgraded cut-to-length Ghedi production line to handle SSAB steels up to 1350MPa

    By this autumn, SSAB Swedish Steel S.p.A. in Ghedi, Italy will be able to cut ultra-high strength SSAB steel coils to virtually any length. In addition to a broader product offering, the cut lengths will also have improved surface quality and flatness — critical for precision applications, including laser cutting.     SSAB has entered into an agreement to acquire Abraservice Holding, which provides wear parts and complete solutions in quenched and tempered steels (Q&T). Abraservice is currently part of the French-owned Jacquet Metal Service Group. Abraservice had net sales of around SEK 800 million in 2018.
