British Riding Clubs NAF Winter Championships

British Riding Clubs 2012 Winter Championships took place at Hartpury College recently, and with a record number of entries, both the showjumping and dressage were hotly contested. The event was once again sponsored by NAF.Rother Valley RC came out on top in the senior winter dressage, with their team of Sarah Baldwin (Hawkhurst, Kent) riding Athlone Sox, Clare Walton-Coe (Bexhill-on-Sea) riding Carenthago Z, Tanya Draude (Brede, East Sussex) riding Bill Bailey and Lisa Pillbeam (Etchingham, East Sussex) riding Cullawn My Way. Quadrille stars selected for Olympia

The 2011 British Riding Clubs Dressage to Music Championships and SEIB Quadrille Selection Trial took place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool recently.The Quadrille trial, sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers, decides the four teams who will compete at the grand final at Olympia on Saturday 17 December. The selection night kicked off with a gala dinner with a Wild West theme. Championships beckon for British Riding Club members

The British Riding Clubs (BRC) National Championships are to take place at Lincolnshire Show Ground, just outside the city itself, on 17 and 18 September 2011.A vast number of the movement’s 36,000 strong membership have competed at Area Qualifiers to get to these prestigious Championships, the largest in the BRC Championship calendar, which is once again sponsored by Natural Animal Feeds, with Tredstep and Equilibrium also sponsoring prizes in specific classes. The team of six riders from Great Britain have, for the first time in the history of this competition, won the overall CIC** European Championship.It was the turn of British Riding Clubs to host this biennial CIC** European Championship at Washbrook Farm, Aston le Walls, home of Anne and Nigel Taylor on 4-7 August. The 2011 Festival of the Horse kicked off with blue skies and beautiful sunshine early on Saturday 4 June. The event ran over two days with the Senior Challenge and Showing Classes on Saturday and then the Junior Challenge and Combined Competitions on Sunday.The Festival, sponsored by NAF, took place at Washbrook Farm, Aston-le-Walls near Daventry, Northamptonshire. British Riding Clubs (BRC) Festival of the Horse, sponsored by NAF, goes from strength to strength where the Challenge Class, which replaced the cross-country competition in 2009, continues for the third year.The format is a test of the ability of a horse and rider to negotiate a course of seven to ten show jumps, together with 15-28 cross-country fences.
