Outdoor Wellness at Wave Hill September, October, 2012
Join us this fall for a restorative session of Yoga or Tai Chi while surrounded by the changing colors of the season. Gain inspiration from the crisp fall air swirling through the leaves during Saturday morning Tai Chi Chuan, a series of gentle movements based on images found in nature. On Sunday, mornings, relax body and mind through the physical poses, breath control and meditation of Hatha Yoga.
In October, enjoy a free cooking demonstration, Cooking with Figs. Fruit expert and fig fancier Charles Day shares techniques for growing your own Ficus carica and a Great Performances chef has tips and recipes.
Please bring your own mat to all wellness sessions, if possible, wear loosely fitting clothing and come with meals well digested. Yoga is led by Neem Dewji, certified Hatha and Therapeutic Yoga from The Yoga for Health Foundation in England, and The Integral Yoga Institute in NYC; Tai Chi is led by Irving Yee, an active member of the William CC Chen Tai Chi School.
