Meet this year's Crafoord Prize Laureates – Lars Klareskog, Sweden and Peter K. Gregersen, Robert J. Winchester, USA

Tens of millions of people all over the world suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. The discoveries behind the Crafoord Prize in Polyarthritis 2013 have in a decisive manner contributed to our understanding of the disease. For instance, Lars Klareskogs's research shows that if no-one in Sweden smoked, one in five cases could probably be avoided.
