CHICAGO- The Fourth of July is one of the most dangerous days on the roads in America, and the distracted driving epidemic could make 2018 another deadly year, according to the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI). Preliminary 2017 data from the National Safety Council shows that motor vehicle deaths surpassed 40,000 for the second consecutive year in 2017 and 4.57 million people were seriously injured in motor vehicle crashes.
