iLOQ’s battery-free smart locks help buildings comply with NYC’s Local Law 97
In New York City, buildings account for approximately two-thirds of greenhouse gas emissions. The current Mayor, Eric Adams, and his predecessors pledged to address these emissions as part of plans to make the city carbon neutral by 2050. Already, in 2019, the city enacted Local Law 97. Under this groundbreaking law, most buildings larger than 25,000 square feet (2,323 m[2]) are required to meet new greenhouse gas emission limits by 2024.
