Sandvik announces layoffs in Sweden within Sandvik Materials Technology

As communicated in the quarterly report for the first quarter, saving measures have been initiated throughout Sandvik due to the challenging market situation following the Covid-19-pandemic. Today, Sandvik gave notice of layoffs in Sweden for 429 positions within its business area Sandvik Materials Technology. Business trips are increasing again after the Corona pandemic. All operations in Mexico have been terminated, hence leaving the company without office, employees or activities.
