75 percent of Akelius’ portfolio in North America

The sale of Akelius’ apartments in Germany, Sweden, and Denmark has been closed today, 1 December 2021. The price is EUR 9.1 billion. Heimstaden takes over in total 28,775 apartmentsand 278 employees from Akelius. As part of the transaction, Heimstaden will use Akelius’ in-house developed applications in a transitional service period. Ralf Spann, CEO - 75 percent of Akelius’ remaining portfolio is in North America.  London and Paris cover 25 percent of the portfolio.  In total sixteen thousand apartments.   Akelius aims to grow again to fifty thousand apartments.
