IBA Group Wins Global Sourcing Association Award

On October 6, the Global Sourcing Association (GSA) , formerly known as the European Outsourcing Association (EOA), announced the winners of the 2016 EOA Awards. Building The Next Generation of IT In Eastern Europe

ZDNet published a recent focus on Eastern European technology outsourcing because the recently published AT Kearney 2016 Global Services Location Index suggests that 5 of the top 20 countries of the world for IT services are now inside Eastern Europe. IBA Creates Currency Exchange Terminal for Belarusbank

On April 25, Belarusbank, the largest financial institution in the Republic of Belarus, unveiled a new innovative service for conducting foreign exchange transactions in self–service mode. IBA Group created the self–service terminal and developed its software. The first self–service terminal is installed in the Belarusbank branch number 510/392 in Minsk. It allows clients to exchange Russian rubles, US dollars, and Euro for Belarusian rubles using cash in self–service mode. Currency rates set by the bank are displayed on the screen of the terminal. On March 19, Belarusian programmers Roman Udovichenko and Sergei Zhgirovsky won the final round of Google Hash Code 2016, which took place in Paris, France. Udovichenko and Zhgirovsky, both graduates of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of the Belarusian State University (BSU), participated as a team named YMTeam and scored 1,017,218 points. On March 9, Facebook bought Masquerade, a Belarusian company behind the popular face swapping application MSQRD. The statement that appeared on the Masquerade website  says that the company is 'excited to join forces with Facebook and bring the technology to even more people'.
