The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall officially opened South Caernarfon Creameries’ new cheese production unit on Tuesday 5thJuly.Their Royal Highnesses toured the Creameries’ site, met with staff and members of the dairy co-operative, which is owned by 127 farmers who farm in North Wales and Mid Wales. The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall also had an opportunity to taste some of South Caernarfon Creameries award-winning cheese, including the Welsh Slate Cavern Cheddar that was created in conjunction with Sainsbury’s and Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog.

South Caernarfon Creameries has announced that it has been awarded the contract to supply Sainsbury’s with their Basics Cheese range. South Caernarfon Creameries opens its new cheese production unit

South Caernarfon Creameries has opened its new cheese production with its first production having taken place last week. South Caernarfon Creameries has appointed Sabel Wiliam in the role of Assistant Analyst/Accountant. Local girl Sabel, from Nefyn, joins Wales’ largest farming co-operative having recently graduated in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool. Charitable South Caernarfon Creameries raises funds for MacMillan Nurses

As part of their Christmas activities, South Caernarfon Creameries has raised £475 for MacMillan Nurses. South Caernarfon Creameries has appointed Megi Williams in the new role of Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator. South Caernarfon Creameries has announced an agreement with established dairy exporter Coombe Castle International to represent the creameries’ Dragon brand in international markets. To launch this new partnership, Dragon will be featured on Coombe Castle’s trade stand at Anuga, the world’s  leading food fair for retail, food service and catering. South Caernarfon Creameries confirms its’ £8.5million investment plan

South Caernarfon Creameries, Wales’ oldest farmer-owned dairy co-operative, has announced plans for a new cheese production facility with an investment estimated at £8.5 million.The new facility will be on the Creamery’s site in Chwilog and will almost double production capability, increasing capacity from the current level of 9,500 tonnes to 17,000 tonnes.
