UPM closes Plattling mill in Germany – Participation process with employee representatives concluded

(UPM, Helsinki, 20 October 2023 at 12:30 EEST) – In July UPM Communication Papers announced plans to permanently close its Plattling mill in Germany to align graphic paper capacity to the customer demand. The participation process with the employee representatives has now been completed and the mill will cease its production latest by the end of November 2023. The number of UPM employees affected is 401. Boliden resolves to repurchase its treasury shares

Stable position for Södra despite prevailing market conditions

Södra posted a lower result for the third quarter of 2023. The result is stable in view of market conditions and in line with Södra’s expectations.In the third quarter of 2023, net sales for the Södra Group amounted to SEK 6,545 million (8,102), down 19 percent.
