Kvaerner Power wins power boiler contract in Finland
Kvaerner Power is to deliver a power boiler using bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) technology to a power plant at UPM's Rauma paper mill on the west coast of Finland. The power plant will be built by the new company Rauman Voima Oy which is owned by Pohjolan Voima Oy and Rauman Energia Oy. UPM is a substantial shareholder of Pohjolan Voima. The new power plant will produce electricity, steam for the paper mill and district heat for Rauma city.
