Outokumpu Technology to supply copper converter technology to Kazzinc, Kazakhstan

OUTOKUMPU TECHNOLOGY OYJ PRESS RELEASE, FEBRUARY 23, 2007 AT 9.00 AM Outokumpu Technology has agreed with Engineering Dobersek GmbH for the delivery of converter and gas handling technology for the new copper smelter of Kazzinc in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. Kazzinc, the largest zinc producer in Kazakhstan, operates two zinc smelters, one lead smelter and a number of mines and concentrators. 22 February 2007 - British Nuclear Group has awarded the ACKtiv Nuclear Joint Venture (JV) - consisting of Aker Kvaerner, Atkins and Carillion - a project to provide a new operational export facility within the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond at Sellafield in the UK.
