Elkem ASA has acquired VUM, a Slovak producer of carbon materials. The transaction will further increase Elkem’s capacity and competence in attractive specialty markets and increase its flexibility in the supply chain. Gasum has inaugurated a new biogas filling station today, June 9, in Ålesund municipality, on the western coast of Norway. Gasum has collaborated with Posten, the Norwegian postal service, and ÅRIM, a waste management company, to open the new gas filling station. The station is Gasum’s fourth LBG filling station in Norway, and part of the ever-expanding filling station network.The new station caters to logistics companies operating in the region as well as to long-haul traffic from Ålesund through Trondheim or Oslo all the way to Sweden.
