Gasum, in cooperation with REMA, today opened a new biogas filling station for liquefied biogas (LBG) at REMA Distribution in Vinterbro. The station is now available to all operators with liquid biogas driven trucks.The biogas station is located close to REMA Distribution's warehouse in Vinterbro and is centrally located by the E6 and E18 roads south of Oslo. The station will meet the demand for biogas in the area, the location south of Oslo and proximity to the Oslofjord tunnel is desired by the market.

During the summer, Gasum and Preem signed a strategic cooperation agreement that enables Preem's corporate customers to refuel liquid and compressed biogas at Gasum stations in Sweden. On top of the environmental benefits, all transactions will be consolidated into a single invoice.Road transport accounts for one-third of Sweden’s greenhouse gas emissions, and last year, these emissions increased by 18 percent. Wasaline’s vessel sailing between Finland and Sweden will run solely on Gasum’s liquefied biogas going forward.Nordic energy company Gasum and Finnish shipping company Wasaline have agreed that Gasum will provide only liquefied biogas (bio-LNG) to Wasaline’s vessel Aurora Botnia going forward. The vessel transports passengers and freight daily across the Baltic Sea between the port of Vaasa in Finland and the port of Umeå in Sweden.

Gasum also uses Fazer’s food waste to produce biogas.Nordic energy company Gasum and the food and confectionary group Fazer have entered into an agreement on the use of biogas in the transport of Fazer’s bakery products. The inedible food waste generated at the bakeries is used to produce biogas in Gasum’s biogas plants.
This means that some of Fazer’s products travel across Finland using energy produced from Fazer’s own waste.
