L&D have been talking about anytime, anywhere learning for quite some time now. What we are actually seeing is the shift to anytime, anywhere working, driving the need for learning to work with the shifting trends. In our most recent benchmark study, our top learning companies were leading the way and delivering significant results through the mobilisation of learning. What is even more exciting is the data from the Towards Maturity Learning Landscape study with 2000 learners shows that learners are ready for mobile, wanting it and needing it as part of the mix of mobile technologies that are being implemented in a large number of organisations. This In Focus report should enable us to consolidate the data around mobile and help organisations make informed choices about their routes into mobile learning.
Laura Overton, Managing Director, Towards Maturity
We have focused a lot of our efforts over the last 2 years to make mobile a reality for all organisations. What we have created is a platform informed by research, giving learners and organisations what they need to achieve a good learning blend that includes mobile. As a business that already made Learning Management Systems, the result is a powerful platform that can help organisations of all sizes implement mobile, taking learning out of the silo and placing it firmly at the centre of operations. We are thrilled to work with Towards Maturity on this In Focus report to help inform and educate those implementing these technologies. The data is really encouraging, showing learners have the desire for mobile and organisations are actively working to implement it.

The mobile learning space is still shrouded in misunderstanding and as a developing tool, there is still much we are all learning about it. From the development of Redsource to putting it into practice in large organisations, we have taken away some key points and good practice, which we will share with attendees at Learning Technologies this year through our seminars, focusing on performance support and the technology supporting mobile learning.

Congratulations to all the winners and those who were highly commended in the 2013 awards. The Awards recognise the professionalism and innovation that exists in IT. The quality of applications we received this year was excellent, but the winners stood out as exceptional and inspiring, and should be very proud of their success.
David Clarke, MBE, Group Chief Executive Officer of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT
The competition this year was fierce and the projects inspiring. To be given highly commended for our work in that category is simply brilliant. These awards are testament to the talent and innovation in the UK IT sector and as one of those UK based IT companies, we have always prided ourselves not only on our platforms, but the desire to attract the best in UK talent. The whole team has worked incredibly hard to develop our latest generation of learning and mobile products, getting highly commended at such a recognised and huge event is something to celebrate for all involved in the project
Andre Wigley, CEO, Redware Limited

GoMo and Redsource are both exciting platforms with the potential to shape the way we learn on mobile devices. By bringing them together, we are creating an incredibly powerful and flexible solution for organisations looking to author and distribute content to multiple platforms and devices.
Jonathan Satchell, Chief Executive of Epic
When it comes to authoring content for mobile devices, GoMo is an extremely powerful tool, but the distribution of this content is often considered a side issue. By integrating with GoMo, we are highlighting the need for the very best in delivery, ensuring a quality end-user experience. This partnership is a really exciting one, bringing together two award-winning platforms to deliver what I think will be the best mobile learning experience out there on the market.
André Wigley, CEO of Redware
It’s really exciting to be showcasing Redware at the Learning Technologies Summer Forum this year. We will be focused on showing attendees the benefits of mobile learning, modular LMS systems and a key theme throughout the event will be portals, which are a really hot topic in learning at the moment.

2013 has so far been a really exciting year, with lots more to come in the months ahead. I am delighted to be welcoming Barry and Harpal to Redware as we continue to grow and welcome even more people to the team in the coming months. We are actively recruiting for a number of positions and with these two new key posts filled I am confident that it will strengthen our success as a business.

Having been around learning technologies for some time, there has been a lot of talk about mobile and organisations achieving their learning objectives via this medium. When I first came across Redsource when it was released, it was clear that there was finally a scalable offering to deliver on these goals. I hope to achieve the growth of Redsource and for it to be recognised as the de-facto mobile delivery platform. I like to have fun at work, which is something shared by the whole team at Redware, making us a strong team. I’ve been inspired by people I’ve worked with in the past and hope I can inspire people working around me, encouraging a very customer service orientated approach.
Barry Woolven, Head of Sales, Redware Limited
First of all, a big thank you to all the staff that donated throughout the year and joined in with our fundraising events. We make a commitment to support a charity each year and the The Myton Hospices are such an important cause to raise money for, as they directly affect hundreds of people and their families at a very important time of their life, across the Warwickshire region. I am really impressed by the amount of money donated and it was great to be able to double that, to maximise the support we can offer the charity.
Andre Wigley, CEO, Redware Limited
As the only in-patient hospice provider for Coventry and Warwickshire we were delighted to have such valuable support from Redware. This year alone we have to raise over £7 million to ensure we can continue to provide our free of charge services to our patients and their loved ones - this wouldn’t be possible without the support of organisations such as Redware and we can’t thank them enough for their support.
Rosie Houghton, The Myton Hospices
This is the second year we have exhibited at Learning Technologies and this year was very special. There was never a quiet moment on the stand, with people queuing for a demo of Redsource and our LMS. We were amazed at the reception Redsource got at the show and with the launch of a major update to Redsource and the introduction of training packages on day 1, we had so much to share.
Andre Wigley, CEO, Redware Limited
As a company Redware has a lot of experience in mobile and learning and it was great to be able to share our knowledge with attendees at Learning Technologies. MAM technologies are changing the way organisations see mobile, with MAM allowing for more flexible mobile experiences for users, with the control an organisation would expect. Hopefully the attendees of the seminar left with a taste of this and how it can benefit their organisations.

It’s a really exciting time for Redsource! Since its release only last year Redsource has generated so much interest and now, with the release of version two, I am convinced it will help people change the way they see mobile. The innovative thinking of the team and the commitment to making a revolutionary mobile platform has been outstanding. Everyone at Redware thinks mobile, which has greatly contributed to the success of the platform

One of the biggest commitments faced when looking at eLearning is the creation of content. By offering ready made learning material covering core subjects, we are allowing businesses to focus on creating the specialist content unique to their own business.
Emily Wigley, Managing Director, Redware Limited
“2013 is going to be an exciting year for learning and for mobile, so this seminar at Learning Technologies could not be timed better. This year will see more organisations than ever adopting mobile in the workplace, with many exploring the options mobile brings to learning and development. With this comes the infancy of the marketplace and technologies, which makes correct implementation and use crucial to any mobile learning strategy, I hope my seminar gives people an insight into successful mobile learning, using it to strengthen business processes with short form and on-demand learning.”
Andre Wigley, CEO, Redware Limited
“In the modern workplace, learning objectives need to be delivered in a way that captures the minds of the end user and takes into account the mobility of the modern workforce. I am delighted to be presenting on a topic as important as mobile and hope it will dispel a lot of the myths and explain what Mobile Application Management is all about in a real business context, particularly within learning & development.”
Andre Wigley, CEO, Redware Limited
