Strong trend for Swedish construction timber
Demand for timber remains strong in the Swedish construction market. Södra’s sales to the Swedish building trade have risen for the third consecutive year.The use of wood as a building material is becoming increasingly popular in Sweden – for both large-scale residential construction and home DIY projects. September marked yet another month for Södra of very high sales figures to the Swedish building materials market, and October is following a similar pattern.The increase should be viewed in light of the extremely high levels recorded in 2015, a year that was something of a record for sales to the Swedish building materials trade.
