    In January, demand for air travel was stable, despite uncertainties such as the global situation, economic uncertainty and personal finances. International travel continued to increase during the month, which mainly benefited our major airports but also Luleå Airport. Domestic travel, on the other hand, continues to show a weaker trend. Although there are significant uncertainties, we expect increased traffic and a greater range of routes at our airports later this spring and during the summer. At the same time, there are signs that the economic situation will improve somewhat in the period ahead, which is also likely to increase demand for air travel.

    Italian boutique airline SkyAlps to launch a new route from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport to Bolzano in January 2025

    Air travel via Swedavia’s airports continued to increase in the month of October. Overall, air travel increased by one per cent compared with October 2023.     A positive international travel trend, higher commercial revenues and fee adjustments strengthened Swedavia’s net revenue during the third quarter of the year, despite an uncertain global environment. Net revenue for the quarter increased to SEK 1,698 M (1,613). Cash flow from operating activities continued to strengthen and amounted to SEK 425 M (334).     Temporary changes to EU regulations affect liquid restrictions at Stockholm Arlanda security control in Terminal 5, starting 1 September

    Air travel at Swedavia's ten airports continued to increase in the month of July. In July, more than 3.2 million passengers flew via one of Swedavia's ten airports. This is a 1 percent increase compared to July last year. At Stockholm Arlanda, passenger levels for international traffic have essentially returned to pre-pandemic levels. In July, international travel at Stockholm Arlanda increased by 8 percent and increased by 9 percent at Landvetter. International travel increased by 6 percent overall, while domestic travel showed a weaker trend, decreasing by 21 percent at Swedavia's airports.

    Swedavia’s interim report for January–June 2024: More passengers and increased commercial revenues helped to increase net revenue, improve the operating income and strengthen cash flow

    More international passengers and increased commercial revenues at Swedavia’s airports had a positive impact on net revenue in the second quarter, despite ongoing uncertainty in the macroeconomic situation.     During June, more than 3.1 million passengers flew via one of Swedavia's ten airports. Air travel in June is overall at comparable levels with June 2023. International travel rose 6 per cent during the month, while domestic travel decreased 20 per cent compared to June last year.
