TyreSafe’s annual tyre safety campaign in October has reached new levels of industry participation helping to make the UK’s roads safer as winter takes hold. A record amount of printed point-of-sale material, including 200,000 leaflets and posters, were distributed to those in the tyre industry, particularly to participating tyre retailers and workshops offering free tyre safety checks to car owners. A road show helping to keep drivers safe and legal this winter by giving shoppers the chance to have their tyres checked for free is visiting supermarkets across Cornwall. It will visit branches of Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda and has been organised by Cornwall Council Road Safety Team in partnership with Devon & Cornwall Police and Steve Andrews Tyres.
