Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Sweet Programs at Wave Hill

As the leaves disappear and sparkling snow coats the ground, bring your little ones to Wave Hill for festive holiday activities inspired by the beauty of nature in winter. Throughout the month of December, tote your creative kiddos along to four special holiday-themed Family Art Projects. The month kicks off with Season’s Greetings —inspired by the changing seasons, you’ll draw your own cold-weather tales in a variety of surprise, pop-up holiday cards. Fall Family Fun at Wave Hill

Autumn at Wave Hill offers a bounty of adventurous activities for the whole family! Little ones will delight in experiencing the richness of the changing season, whether they prefer outdoor expeditions or artistic exploration. Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the fall, visitors explore the gardens and make nature-inspired creations at the Family Art Project.  On the second Sunday in September, October and November, the Family Art Project is followed by a Family Walk with a Wave Hill naturalist, highlighting the medley of birds, insects and fall colors that enliven our beautiful grounds.

Enchanted Wave Hill Weekend, October 18 & 19

There’s magic in the Bronx! On this enchanted October weekend, allow the beauty of the autumnal landscape to captivate your imagination—and discover the magic within yourself! Bring your little fairies and gnomes to venture into Wave Hill’s enchanting woodlands, and join them in creating tiny, fairy-sized dwellings and magical wands using found sticks, leaves and bark. As you delight in the autumn colors, listen to entrancing fairy tales read by storyteller Rama Mandel, and enjoy a live, sparkling soundscape provided by The Metropolitan Four flute quartet.
