First patient treatments delivered with RayStation and Hitachi proton therapy system at Sibely Memorial Hospital
Treatment planning system RayStation® from RaySearch has been used together with Hitachi’s latest proton therapy system to treat cancer patients at the newly opened John Hopkins Proton Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC, USA.The 80,000 square-foot facility, which opened October 1, houses cutting-edge proton therapy equipment from Hitachi alongside next-generation treatment planning software from RaySearch. Three rotating gantry treatment rooms and one fixed-beam research room at the center are equipped with a full suite of digital technologies for effective proton therapy
