Moelven Valåsen is investing in capacity and quality with lumber kiln from Valutec
Moelven Valåsen is currently in an expansion phase. They will shortly be building a new line for small-dimension boards, when their annual production is estimated to increase from 159 million board feet to almost 212 million. The production increase will require investment in new kiln capacity, and here the choice fell to a TC continuous kiln from Sweden’s Valutec.“We knew early on that we wanted a TC kiln, and Valutec is the only supplier to offer this type of kiln. Fazer Geisha has been among Finns’ favourite chocolates since the 1960s, and now its recipe is being updated. Palm oil in the Geisha chocolate filling will become a thing of the past as, moving forward, it will be replaced by sustainably produced cocoa butter.The word “Geisha” refers to artist in Japanese. “Gei” means “art” and “sha” a skilled person. The updating of the recipe has also required skills and expertise. Cocoa butter proved to be the solution for updating the recipe without compromising the familiar soft flavour and texture.
