Vestas Wind Systems, Vestas receives order for 45 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine from Spanish developer

The Vestas Group has received an order from companies belonging to the reputable Spanish wind farm developer, Agrupación Eólica, S.L. for 45 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine. The order includes supply, installation, commissioning and VestasOnline remote monitoring systems for five different projects in Spain and France. Delivery of the turbines will begin in the autumn of 2006 and the wind power plants will be completed during 2007.

Agreement reached on closure of Nuremberg factory

Electrolux and IG Metall, a German trade union for the manufacturing industry, have reached an agreement on the terms and conditions for the closure of the appliance factory in Nuremberg, Germany.The agreement gives employees a severance package including a payment of 1.8 months of salary per year of employment with the company, and training in a qualification company. Pre-retirement schemes have also been agreed upon. A staged closure of the factory is estimated to begin in July and to be concluded by the end of 2007. Alfa Laval, a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling, has received an order from Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) for an evaporation plant.
