On Thursday, Norges Bank raised its policy rate to 2.50%. The rate hike was in line with earlier forecasts and due to persistently high inflation. As a result of the rate hike, SpareBank 1 SR-Bank is raising its rates for mortgages and deposits by up to 0.25 percentage points. “Norges Bank is raising its policy rate to prevent inflation from becoming entrenched.
