Education expert says comics are a gateway to creating life-long readers
Over a third (34%) of parents and grandparents have introduced comics or fantasy magazines to their children or grandchildren, with a quarter (23%) believing its main benefit is creating a habit and love of reading. This is according to the latest research commissioned by Readly, the European leader in digital magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Almost half (42%) of adults reported reading comics themselves as a child with 11 percent still reading this format today, revealed the YouGov poll of 2000 UK parents and grandparents for Readly .
