The companies reinforce their long partnership and commitment to developing sustainable maritime transport on the Baltic Sea.Nordic energy company Gasum and shipping company Wasaline have extended their agreement for bio-LNG supply to continue through 2027. This agreement continues to strengthen the companies’ long-standing partnership.
It also underlines both companies' commitment to developing cleaner maritime transport. Wasaline runs a carbon neutral shipping corridor between Finland and Sweden, as the company’s vessel Aurora Botnia uses batteries and biogas to operate the route.
With the expansion, there will be an additional refuelling point for gas buses and the operational reliability of compressed gas distribution will improve. The improvement is important for Savonlinja, which manages bus services in the Finnish city of Joensuu.Gasum's liquefied biogas (LBG) filling station in Joensuu has opened. The station has already been providing compressed biogas for lighter vehicles, and with the expansion, the station now also serves heavy traffic.

The new biogas station will support low-emission cargo traffic through the Port of Hanko.Gasum has opened a new biogas filling station in Raseborg. The station serves both passenger and heavy-duty transport, as the station can be used to refuel with both liquefied (LBG) and compressed (CBG) biogas.
The new station is located along the Hanko road, at the address Mekaanikontie 10.

MyStar runs on bio-LNG to generate additional compliance surplus for Gasum’s pool.Nordic energy company Gasum and Baltic energy company Elenger have signed a FuelEU Maritime co-operation agreement. Elenger is the fuel provider for Tallink Group’s vessels.

Gasum, in cooperation with REMA, today opened a new biogas filling station for liquefied biogas (LBG) at REMA Distribution in Vinterbro. The station is now available to all operators with liquid biogas driven trucks.The biogas station is located close to REMA Distribution's warehouse in Vinterbro and is centrally located by the E6 and E18 roads south of Oslo. The station will meet the demand for biogas in the area, the location south of Oslo and proximity to the Oslofjord tunnel is desired by the market.
Gasum has cooperated with REMA, which has made the land for the station available.

Two Anthony Veder vessels join Gasum’s compliance pool as surplus generators.Nordic energy company Gasum and gas shipping company Anthony Veder are expanding their partnership to meet FuelEU Maritime requirements and drive emission reductions at sea. Two Anthony Veder LNG carriers that are chartered by Gasum, Coral Energy and Coral EnergICE, will be sailing on bio-LNG, contributing compliance surplus to Gasum’s FuelEU Maritime pool. Anthony Veder is also joining Gasum’s FuelEU Maritime pool with more ships from their fleet, providing the opportunity to secure regulation compliance.

Ulusoy Sealines owns and operates a fleet of several ro-ro vessels and cargo ships. The company sails a regular route transporting passengers and freight between the Turkish port of Cesme and Italian port of Trieste.

Gasum also uses Fazer’s food waste to produce biogas.Nordic energy company Gasum and the food and confectionary group Fazer have entered into an agreement on the use of biogas in the transport of Fazer’s bakery products. The inedible food waste generated at the bakeries is used to produce biogas in Gasum’s biogas plants.
This means that some of Fazer’s products travel across Finland using energy produced from Fazer’s own waste.

Gasum will use DNV’s Emissions
The new state-of-the-art vessel, to be named Celsius, will enable Gasum to fulfil its strategic ambition to increase LNG and bio-LNG availability in the Northwestern European maritime market.Gasum has chartered a new LNG and bio-LNG bunker vessel that will serve Gasum’s customers starting 2027. The vessel will be owned by a Joint Venture between Gasum and Swedish shipping company Sirius Shipping. The vessel will be built by RMK Marine yard in Istanbul Turkey.
Sirius Shipping and Gasum have a long history together, as Gasum has been the charterer of the bunker vessel Coralius since 2017
