Better spruce trees from greenhouse orchards
Sweden’s first large-scale greenhouse orchard for control-pollinated spruce seeds has opened at Södra’s nursery in Falkenberg. The project, conducted jointly with the Forestry Research Institute of Sweden, will improve the quality of future spruce trees.The supply of control-pollinated spruce seedlings* cannot keep pace with forest owner demand.
