Soceity's Harvest Service - All Welcome

A key highlight on the region’s farming calendar is on the horizon. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society’s harvest thanksgiving service takes place on Sunday 4 October at York Minster and all are welcome. The preacher is The Rev Dr Gordon Gatward who has spent much of his working life providing pastoral support to rural communities.The Society’s Chaplain, Rev Canon Leslie Morley said: “The 'Yorkshire Harvest' is a wonderful annual celebration of the county's agricultural produce, and an opportunity to give thanks for God's blessings as well as for the work and skill of our farming community.

All Systems Go for New £10m Exhibition Centre

Work on a £10m state-of-the-art venue began on Wednesday 29thJuly in Harrogate, which will give event organisers across the UK an exciting new venue. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) began demolition of exhibition Hall 1 to make way for the new building at the Great Yorkshire Showground. ROYAL VISITORS ANNOUNCED FOR GREAT YORKSHIRE SHOW

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society is delighted to announce that TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will be special guests at the 2015 Great Yorkshire Show.Their Royal Highnesses will visit England’s premier agricultural show on Tuesday 14 July, the first day of the event, which takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate and runs until Thursday 16 July.
