New US patent approval for Episurf Medical
Episurf Medical (NASDAQ: EPIS B) has received another Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patent, entitled “Guide tool for cartilage repair”, relates to the company’s technology for individualised surgical guide instruments for cartilage repair in joints. “This patent gives us additional protection in the US within the field of individualised surgical instruments based on Episurf Medical’s imaging technology” comments Katarina Flodström, COO, Episurf Medical.

As a new study by GF Piping Systems and Foreship shows, HVAC applications on passenger ships offer significant potential for improvement. Comparing a baseline steel piping system with pre-insulated polyethylene pipes in an air conditioning chilled water system revealed that plastic is more efficient in four areas: It decreases fuel consumption, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, lowers costs, and slightly improves EEXI and CII values.
