Scania engines to power rescue vehicles at US airports

Scania's low-emission engines will be used in airport rescue and firefighting vehicles at airports in the US.Scania will deliver 24 16-litre V8 engines for use in Oshkosh Airport Products’ airport rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicles Striker 6x6 and Striker 4x4. The engines are optimized for the Oshkosh powertrain, and each complies with Tier 4 final emission legislation. The ARFF vehicles will be put into service at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark International Airport, LaGuardia International Airport and Teterboro Airport, which are located in New York and New Jersey.

Today, NCC divested land in Copenhagen, Denmark, to a private investor for a purchase price of approximately SEK 95 million.NCC has owned a large area of land on Teglholmen in southern Copenhagen since 1993, which has gradually been developed with offices and housing. Strike and support actions are planned for Friday, March 10 from 3 pm – 7 pm EET at Helsinki Airport, related to the dispute between the Finnish Aviation Union and the service sector employer union Palta about labour agreements in Airpro Oy.
