Wizz Air to invest further at Malmö Airport with a new direct route to Albania in time for the summer season
The Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air sees new opportunities in the Swedish market and is expanding its range of destinations from the Greater Copenhagen region and Malmö Airport with a new route to the Balkan Peninsula and the Albanian capital of Tirana. In mid-May, it will be possible for the first time to fly non-stop between Malmö and Tirana. Wizz Air is expanding its base at Albania’s international airport with the addition of one aircraft, which will enable it to launch the new route.
