NordicEdu develops a mobile game for UPM and the Guides and Scouts of Finland

Veidekke ASA: To rehabilitate the Bryn tunnel Oslo

Today Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with the NPRA to completely rehabilitate the 300 metre long Bryn tunnel in eastern Oslo. This contract is valued at NOK 167 million, excluding VAT.  The Bryn tunnel opened in 1970 and is a two-bore tunnel on E6/Ring 3 at Bryn in Oslo. The contract involves completely replacing the road surfacing, blasting for a new water treatment plant, a new cross cut and improving visibility. Lifco acquires Norwegian Cenika

Lifco has signed an agreement to acquire the majority of Norwegian Cenika AS, a leading supplier of low voltage electrical supplies. In 2015, Cenika’s sales amounted to approximately 160 MNOK. The company sells among other surge arrestors. Cenika sells its own brand CenTech and the Chinese brand Chint directly to the professional power industry in Norway and Sweden. The company will be consolidated in the division Relining within business area Systems Solutions. The acquisition will not have any significant effect on Lifco’s earnings or financial position in current financial year.

Stena Bulk takes delivery of IMOIIMAX tanker Stena Imperative

The chemical and product tanker Stena Imperative has now been delivered from the Chinese shipyard CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (CSSC OME*) in Guangzhou. The IMOIIMAX tanker is equivalent in size to a 50,000 dwt MR tanker. The vessel is equipped with 18 tanks, each with a capacity of 3,000 m3, and can carry both vegetable oils and chemicals such as oil and petroleum products. Thanks to their innovative technical design, the IMOOIIMAX tankers have extra large cargo flexibility, high safety and low fuel consumption. The naming ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on 26 January 2016.
