Routledge Journal Announces “Best Article of 2013” Award for Reading and Writing Quarterly
Philadelphia, February 4, 2014 – Taylor & Francis Group and Reading and Writing Quarterly are pleased to announce the journal’s selection for Best Article of 2013. The winning article is entitled, “Vocabulary Instruction within a Multi-Tier Approach” by Susan M. Loftus and Michael D. Coyne. The article discusses vocabulary acquisition and the challenges that educators face with providing vocabulary instruction in schools, describes a series of research studies supporting direct vocabulary instruction within a response-to-intervention approach, and provides suggestions for future research.
