Listeria Cantaloupe Outbreak Deaths Reach 33
After a final examination of state death certificates, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now lists the official tally of deaths from the 2011 cantaloupe listeria outbreak to 33. The outbreak was traced to unsanitary equipment, processing and conditions at Jensen Farms in southeastern Colorado, according to the Denver Post
