Assemblin has acquired Suomen Teollisuuskylmä Oy (STK), a Finnish refrigeration company with strong environmental focus. STK has an annual turnover of approximately 8.7 MEUR and 25 specialised staff.STK was founded in 2011 and has important maintenance contracts, primarily within ammonia-based cooling systems, with leading players in the food, forestry, chemical and energy sectors as well as logistic centres and ice rinks across Finland. In addition to maintenance work, the company installs and renovates cooling systems and has a significant competence within district heating facilities.

Wearable technology can help in at-home assessment of myoclonic jerks

A new study by the University of Eastern Finland and Kuopio University Hospital shows that wearable sensor technology can be used to reliably assess the occurrence of myoclonic jerks in patients with epilepsy also in the home environment.
