Best-in-its-class Wärtsilä 31DF engine gets even more power

The higher power output will be available within the same dimensions as previously, thereby delivering greater performance within the same physical footprint. At the same time, the already low level of exhaust gas emissions is being improved to heighten even further the engine’s sustainability factor.
Frankenthal, Germany, December 7, 2020 - The RKW Group has switched its production sites in Germany to green electricity this year, thereby significantly expanding its commitment to sustainability once again. The use of clean energy has reduced CO\2\ emissions by around 80,000 tons in 2020. In relation to the power consumption of the German sites, this represents a reduction of around 80 percent.
