Court hearings conclude; eSpeed has no patent infringement case against OMX Technology

As announced in 2003, OMX Technology in its capacity as software supplier to BrokerTec, a US electronic fixed income marketplace, is among those that eSpeed has sued in a US court for alleged patent infringement. The district court hearings are now concluded and resulted in, among other things, that the patent infringement case against OMX Technology would not be tried. Fewer occupational accidents and sick days at NCC

According to new statistics from NCC in Sweden, occupational accidents and sickness absence continued to decrease during 2004. The favorable trend for occupational accidents was mainly attributable to proactive work-environment efforts.In total, 8.1 accidents were reported for every million hours worked in 2004, a substantial improvement compared with 2003, when 8.9 accidents were reported per million hours worked. The rate of occupational accidents has been halved in the past ten years. Fall accidents dominate the statistics, accounting for more than every third accident. Other causes

Truck deliveries January 2005

Total deliveries of trucks from the Volvo Group’s three truck companies increased 30% in January this year, compared with the year-earlier period. Deliveries from Mack rose 80%, while deliveries from Renault Trucks were up 14%. Deliveries from Volvo Trucks increased 31% during the period.During the past 12 months, order bookings for the Group’s truck operations were 36% higher compared with the preceding year.
