Jury Awards $1.3 Million in Ramblin' Wreck Suit
A jury awarded $1.3 million to a student from Georgia Tech University who suffered a head injury that left him deaf in one ear and cost him his senses of smell and taste after he fell off the Ramblin' Wreck, the antique car that serves as the university’s football mascot. Plaintiff Nicholas Brown was initially granted $2 million in compensation by a Georgia jury but the amount was decreased by 32 percent after Brown’s own liability in the accident was factored in,
