On December 16, Gasum opens its 14th gas filling station for heavy duty vehicles (HDVs) in Sweden. The station in Borlänge is the first for liquefied gas in Dalarna and will be a filling station for heavy vehicles. At the moment, Gasum has 27 filling stations for HDVs around the Nordics. In the coming years Gasum is planning to increase its network in the Nordics up to 50 filling stationsGasum's new station in Borlänge offers liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) for heavy duty vehicles. The filling station is conveniently located in an area with terminals and industry that
The Nordic energy company Gasum will open a gas filling station in Arlanda in the end of 2020. The station is Gasum's first in the Stockholm area. By opening a station offering liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) for heavy-duty vehicles, Gasum is responding to its customers' needs to extend the existing station network to yet another key transport hub.Gasum will further strengthen its gas filling station network in Sweden towards the end of the year by opening a new station in Arlanda, Stockholm. The Arlanda filling station provides liquefied natural gas (LNG) and
Gasum has today opened its 11[th] gas filling station in Sweden. The Ljungby station is the first station for liquefied gas in Kronoberg County and will serve heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). It is part of Gasum’s plan to build a network of 50 gas filling stations for HDV’s by the early 2020s in the Nordics.Gasum’s new Ljungby station offers liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) for heavy duty vehicles. The station is located in a logistic hub area, which means that the area already has a large existing customer base.
As Ljungby lies at the intersection of roads E4 and R25,
The Nordic gas filling stations network is expanding as Gasum opens its 9[th] gas filling station in Sweden. The station is the first one in Umeå and serves both heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) and passenger cars. It is also an important part of Gasum’s plan to build a network of 50 gas filling stations for HDVs by the early 2020s in the Nordics. The growing network opens further opportunities to answer to the increased demand for low emission road transport. The new gas filling station is in an area with heavy traffic where fuel consumption is high and the need for clean fuel solutions is rising
The Nordic gas filling station network continues its rapid growth as energy company Gasum opens a new station in Mariestad, Sweden. This is Gasum’s seventh liquefied gas filling station for heavy-duty vehicles in Sweden, and the first Gasum filling station in Västra Götaland. This filling stations is a part of Gasum’s expanding network planning to have a network of 50 filling stations for heavy-duty vehicles by the early 2020s in the Nordics as the demand for cleaner fuel solutions continues to grow. The new gas filling station in Mariestad, Sweden will go into service on December 13. The
Heavy road transport across the EU is increasing. At the same time, emissions need to be cut fast. The energy company Gasum is investing strongly into the expansion and development of the Nordic gas infrastructure and offering cleaner fuel solutions for heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). Today Gasum inaugurated its fourth gas filling station in Sweden. The new station is located in Torsvik, just south of Jönköping, and it offers liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) for HDVs.In early 2019, the European Union presented new emission reduction standards for HDVs. According to the new
The growth of the Nordic gas filling station network continues today, as the energy company Gasum opens its third station in Sweden. The new station offers liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) for heavy-duty vehicles in Örebro, where Gasum also has a biogas plant. In 2019, the goal is to expand Gasum’s filling station network for heavy duty vehicles to 20 stations, with 12 of the stations located in Sweden, enabling the further development of the Nordic gas infrastructure, while accelerating the transition to cleaner energy.Heavy road transport is increasing and today
The Seinäjoki gas filling station was opened on August 21, 2019 in Roves industrial area at Piirturinväylä 1. This new Gasum filling station serves customers with heavy-duty road vehicles and passenger cars by offering environmentally friendly and inexpensive biogas and natural gas fuel. The transport use of gas is growing considerably and plays an important role in the achievement of national and international emission reduction targets. The strong growth in the number of gas-fueled vehicles is continuing on Finland’s roads. Gasum is responding to the demand by expanding its gas filling
Energy company Gasum is today opening its second gas filling station for heavy-duty vehicles in Sweden. The filling station, located in Norrköping, is a part of Gasum’s ambitious plan to build a Nordic network of 50 liquefied gas stations for heavy duty vehicles located in high traffic areas by early 2020s. The first filling station in Sweden was opened in Västerås in May, and in Finland there are already six stations.Alternative fuel options for traditional fossil fuels are gaining popularity as new emission reduction targets are being set nationally in Sweden as well as internationally by
The gas filling station network in Finland is growing rapidly at key transport hubs. A second gas filling station has already been opened in Lahti to respond to growing demand. The latest gas filling station is at Linnaistentie 2 in the Kujala district of Lahti and in particular serves heavy-duty road transport with liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG). The station also serves gas cars with compressed natural gas and biogas. Expansion of the gas filling station network in the Lahti area also supports the city’s objective to be a carbon-neutral city already in 2025.The
Gasum and IKEA Finland are stepping up their collaboration during 2019: Gasum will open a gas filling station in conjunction with the IKEA store in Raisio. In addition, the aim is to open stations at the Kuopio and Tampere stores later on this year. The gas filling stations already in operation in conjunction with IKEA stores in Lommila, Espoo, and Porttipuisto, Vantaa, have been very popular among consumers. Since their opening, the new stations have provided clean fuel to cover a distance of more than 4 million km driven and reduced CO2 emissions from transport by around 600 tonnes compared
The European Union has granted support at €2.9 million to Gasum for the expansion of the gas filling station network in Finland. The support is an important step towards the creation of a Nordic gas ecosystem by Gasum. New stations are needed to respond to the increased demand for gas-fueled vehicles and to reach the emission targets outlined in the final report by the Ministry of Transport and Communications Transport Climate Policy working group for carbon-free transport by 2045.The EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for transport, energy and digital infrastructure projects has granted
The Transport Climate Policy working group under the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications has published its final report on actions for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions over the longer term. The working group highlights biogas as a significant element of the solution for greenhouse gas emissions cuts. Measured by the amount of energy, the amount biogas used in transport in 2045 would equal that of biodiesel, with hundreds of thousands of cars and heavy-duty road vehicles running on biogas. The final report of the Transport Climate Policy working group under the Finnish
