A "crafty partnership" - Fancourt commissions local charity to reap from what they "sew"
The Sikelela Skills Development Centre is sewing up a storm to make kids' decor and apparel for the Facourt Kidz ClubThe women of the George Child and Family Welfare's Sikelela Skills Development Centre have been very busy this year creating items for the new "Fancourt Kidz" club in terms of decor and apparel. To date, the centre has provided skills training for more than 200 people, ranging from knitting, sewing, glasswork and beading, to building bird feeders and making glass chandeliers from champagne bottles recycled after a Fancourt Ball – some of which have even been exported.
