Chemicals in Household Products May be Harmful to Hormones
A new study shows that more than 200 common household products contain chemicals that may be connected to hormone disruption and asthma. Researchers at the Silent Spring Institute in Newton, MA tested a wide range of products including lotions, sunscreens, soaps, detergents, shaving cream, and perfumes. They found 55 different chemicals linked to adverse side effects in humans. These chemicals included bisphenol A (BPA ), parabens, and phthalates.
